Somehow, I don't think Verizon would try to sell me something by sending a text message that needed an explicit "opt out" to decline...

Mark as Useful He told me that I was selected to receive a $1,000 shopping package. The company was called American Exotic Vacation. I told him that I was not interested and he was insiting that the company was legit and that all I had to pay was $3.95 for the shipping charges. After I told him that I was not interested, he just hung up without saying anything.

Mark as Useful calls every day. female caller leaves message saying the call is regarding a business matter. at the end of messsage she reveals that the call is an attemt to "collect" a debt. then rattles off the usual debt collector and YOUR privacy act/LAW...i don't know who i have NOT paid but this needs to stop. wonder if it is for roomate???gee??..CALLER/DEBT COLLECTOR...keep it up...you're breakin rules(laws). Keep REVEALING and leaving personal credit/debt info on message machines. there are big-time laws on that one!
